For clinicians

The workflow you already run — but with the numbers your gut already knew.

Kinetically isn't one more thing to manage. It's the same five-step assessment-to-care loop you do every visit, with the measurement and documentation pieces done for you.

01 · Capture

Standardized tests, captured in moments.

Pick the test from the in-app library. Position the phone, hit start, walk the patient through the movement. No paper form, no manual stopwatch, no after-visit data entry.

  • Markerless capture — no wearables, no mats
  • On-screen coaching for consistent framing
  • Works at the bedside, in clinic, or at home
02 · Measure

Numbers, not narrative.

The platform converts the capture into the standardized metrics the test produces — gait velocity, sway area, sit-to-stand time, finger-tap frequency — automatically and consistently.

  • 1,200+ landmarks tracked per frame
  • Same numbers regardless of which clinician captured
  • Audit-friendly: timestamp, device, source video preserved
03 · Compare

See change before the patient feels it.

Every capture is auto-compared against the patient's baseline and prior visits. Subtle decline shows up as a flag, not a hunch — early enough to act on.

  • Per-patient longitudinal trends
  • Side-by-side visit comparisons
  • Threshold alerts when metrics drift
04 · Document

Notes that practically write themselves.

Objective metrics, baselines, and progress evidence drop into your documentation in the language payers expect — without rewriting the same observations into a free-text note.

  • Quantified medical-necessity language
  • Shareable visit summaries for the patient
  • Connects to EHRs and the systems your clinic uses
05 · Adjust

Close the loop with the patient still in front of you.

When a metric is plateauing, modify the home program, swap exercises, change dosage — and re-capture next visit to see whether the change worked.

  • Assign treatments from a curated library
  • Track home-program adherence remotely
  • Re-test on the cadence you set, not a fixed schedule
Standardized tests

The tests you already use, measured the same way every visit.

Each one is explained in depth, with published norms and meaningful-change values, in our guide to movement assessment tests and functional test reference values.

10-Meter Walk Test

Speed (m/s)

Kinetically's Gait Speed (10 m) test reports velocity along with cadence, step length, stride symmetry and double-support time.

Timed Up and Go

Time (s)

Kinetically's TUG reports total time plus a segment breakdown.

Five-Times Sit-to-Stand

Time (s)

Kinetically's 5×STS reports total time, per-repetition symmetry, trunk lean and knee flexion.

4-Stage Balance Test

Seconds held per stance

Kinetically measures tandem and single-leg stance (dynamic balance) and static postural sway — center-of-mass displacement, sway velocity and sway area.

Berg Balance Scale

0–56 points

Kinetically auto-captures the movement-based items of the Berg Balance Scale; the scale itself remains clinician-scored.

Functional Reach

Distance (cm or in)

Kinetically's functional reach test reports reach distance, trunk compensation and recovery time.

MDS-UPDRS Part III

Part III sum score

Kinetically quantifies motor signs the exam rates — finger-tap bradykinesia, tremor frequency and amplitude, gait — with metrics aligned to the MDS-UPDRS motor subscale where applicable. It supports, and does not replace, the clinician-rated scale or clinical judgment.

What this gives back to you

Documentation off your plate. Confidence in the plan.

The reason clinicians burn out isn't the patient time — it's everything around it. Kinetically targets the part of the day that's costing you most: writing the same observations into notes, defending plans of care without numbers, and trying to remember whether the patient is actually improving.

  • Less charting. Objective metrics auto-populate the assessment and progress note sections you used to type.
  • Less rater drift. Same patient, two clinicians, same numbers. Caseload coverage stops introducing variability.
  • Less guesswork at the plan-of-care meeting. Bring the trend chart, not a hunch.
  • Less defending denials. When ADRs come in, the objective record is already there.

FAQ

Questions clinicians ask first.

Which standardized tests can I run with Kinetically?

Timed Up & Go, gait speed and gait variables (cadence, step length, symmetry, double support), five-times sit-to-stand, the movement-based Berg Balance items, postural sway, functional reach, range of motion, tremor and bradykinesia, among others. See the Measurements page for the full library.

Do I need special hardware?

No. Kinetically runs on the smartphones and tablets your clinic already uses. There are no wearables, mats, markers or force plates to buy, calibrate or maintain.

Does it replace my clinical judgment?

No. Kinetically produces objective, repeatable measurements to support clinical decisions. It does not diagnose, and interpreting results remains with the clinician.

How do I get started as an individual clinician?
